I disassembled the unit and removed the logic board from the case to get at the screen along with all the other components. This model had a cracked screen and so I replaced it with a new model.

The keyboard and mouse was working before I did any work on the unit.

So when it is flipped into tablet mode, my assumption is that it disables the keyboard and touchpad.
